  • Qualifications:  FCP (Paediatrics) SA, MMed (Paediatrics), University of Pretoria, MSc (Child Health) and MB ChB (University of the Witwatersrand).
  • Professor Lorna Jacklin is the Deputy Chairperson of the Board and a founding member of the Teddy Bear Clinic. She is the Adjunct Professor in Paediatrics and a neurodevelopmental specialist at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, which falls under the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of the Witwatersrand. Lorna’s primary interests include children with developmental delays and disabilities including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, visual impairments and child abuse. She sits on boards and committees for The Memorial Institute for Child Health and Development, Centre for Blind and visually Impaired Children (Chair), The Dean’s Computer Committee, the Paediatric Executive Committee, the Post-graduate Protocol Committee and the Hospital School Board.
